My boyfriend, Alex, is an immigrant from Venezuela. Since the situation had gotten so bad there he made the decision 8 months ago to move to the US where his dad was already living to try and build a life for himself and be able to send food/money to his family still living in Venezuela (which he hasn’t be able to do yet). Things were going well as he was able to find a decent paying job where he could work without a work permit and was able to buy a car and start stabilizing himself.
As a few of you already know recently his situation took a turn for the worse when he got pulled over. Since he’s still in the process of becoming a citizen and didn’t have a license he had his car impounded and was almost arrested and had to pay several fines/fees because of it all. It left him owing a lot of money and worse only two weeks later he found out that the place he was working at was going to be sold since business hasn’t been good and he was going to be out of a job soon. He has a month before the place he works at is sold but since business has been so bad he’s making $30ish dollars a day most of which he has to waste on gas since his job involves doing deliveries and they don’t cover that.
He’s been looking for a job but since he won’t have a work permit for a few more months its been difficult and he can’t keep up with his bills anymore (ie. car payments, insurance, rent, all of which need to be paid soon). I’ve tried helping him as much as I can but I’m not doing the best financially myself and we’ve both agreed that he’s out of options which is why I’m making this fundraiser. I know there’s a lot of people who can afford to donate even just a few dollars so any help with this would be tremendously appreciated. There’s a lot of details I’m leaving out because its not relevant but I can probably answer most if not all of your questions/concerns if you message me.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you can’t afford to donate just reblogging the post or sharing the donation page would be greatly appreciated as well.
